Don’t trust us. Check us.

SwoopyBoopy points a camera at you all day, so “we respect your privacy” isn’t good enough. This page lists every network request the app can make — and shows you how to catch us if we’re lying.

What never leaves your computer

  • Your camera feed — frames go from your webcam to an AI model running on your own processor. There is no code path that uploads them, in any build, ever.
  • Your posture stats and reports — computed and stored locally.
  • The AI model ships inside the app — no cloud inference, no image APIs.
  • There is no analytics or tracking SDK in the app, and no account system — just a license key.

Every network request the app can make

This is the complete list. Every request goes to swoopyboopy.com — never to a third party — and none of them can carry an image.

Activation — once, when you enter your license key
Sends: Your license key, an anonymous device hash (a one-way SHA-256 of your machine ID), your computer’s name, OS, and app version
License re-check — about once a week
Sends: Your activation ID and the same anonymous device hash
Update check — on launch, and when you click “Check for Updates”
Sends: Your platform and current version. Updates are cryptographically signed; the app refuses anything else
Support report — only when you press Send
Sends: Your message, your email if you add one, and the diagnostics the app shows you before sending

How to check us

  1. Pull the plug

Turn off Wi-Fi. Boopy keeps watching and nudging, because posture detection never needs the internet. An activated license keeps working offline for up to a year (plus a 30-day grace period) before the app asks to re-activate.

  2. Watch the wire

Run a firewall that shows outbound connections — Little Snitch or LuLu on macOS, Portmaster or Windows Firewall logging on Windows. You’ll see the app talk only to swoopyboopy.com, and only at the moments in the table above.

  3. Do the math

A camera stream would be megabytes every second. The requests above are a few hundred bytes of text, roughly once a week. There is nowhere for your video to hide.

See the app make a request we haven’t listed here? Email hi@swoopyboopy.com and hold us to it — publicly, if you like.
