Privacy policy

1. Introduction

This privacy policy explains how SwoopyBoopy ("SwoopyBoopy", "we", "us") handles information in connection with the SwoopyBoopy desktop application and the website at swoopyboopy.com. Privacy is not an afterthought here, it is how the product is built: the app analyzes your posture entirely on your own computer.

2. How the app works

SwoopyBoopy uses your camera and an on-device AI model to monitor your sitting posture in real time. All analysis happens locally on your computer. No camera images, video frames, or other visual data are ever captured, stored, or transmitted to us or anyone else. The camera feed is processed in memory and immediately discarded. No internet connection is needed for posture detection.

3. Data we collect

Because the posture features run locally, the only data that ever reaches our servers relates to your purchase and license:

Purchase data

When you buy SwoopyBoopy, the purchase is handled by Gumroad, our payment provider and merchant of record. Gumroad collects your name, email address, and payment details and shares your name and email with us so we can issue your license. We never see or store your full card number or payment credentials; those stay with Gumroad and its payment processors. Gumroad's handling of your data is covered by its own privacy policy.

License and activation data

To enforce the one-device-per-license terms and to deliver updates, we store:

• Your license key and the email address associated with it.
• A salted, one-way hash of a device fingerprint for each device that activates the license. We cannot reverse this hash to identify your device.
• Basic activation details: a device name you provide, your operating system, the app version, and activation timestamps.

Camera and posture data

We do not collect, store, transmit, or have any access to camera images or your posture data. Your posture scores, history, and any related analytics live only on your own device. We do not operate a posture-analytics sync or a leaderboard.

4. How we use your data

We use the limited data above only to:

• Deliver your license key and fulfill your purchase.
• Activate, validate, transfer, or revoke a license, and enforce the one-device limit.
• Provide product updates and respond to support requests.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. We share data only with the service providers we need to run SwoopyBoopy: Gumroad for payments, and Cloudflare, which hosts our website and the database that stores license and activation records. These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms.

6. Data retention

We keep license and activation records for as long as your license is active, and afterward as needed to honor refunds, prevent abuse, and meet legal and accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see "Your rights" below), subject to those obligations.

7. Your rights

You can request access to the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us at hi@swoopyboopy.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.

8. Cookies

Our website uses only the essential cookies needed for it to function. We do not use tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies.

9. Children's privacy

SwoopyBoopy is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date. Continued use of SwoopyBoopy after a change means you accept the updated policy.
